Stomach Cancer Prevention
At the NCI-designated Montefiore Einstein Cancer Center, we’re focused on preventing cancer from ever starting and catching it as early as possible, when treatment is easiest and most effective.
Stomach cancer prevention is the goal of our world-renowned gastrointestinal oncology team.
There are many things you can do to lower your chances of getting stomach cancer. Quitting smoking lowers your risk of developing stomach cancer. You can also understand your family health history, choose healthy nutrition, limit alcohol use and add exercise to your daily routine. It’s also important to identify cancer in its earliest stage, and getting a cancer screening can help.
