Colorectal Cancer Prevention

Colorectal Cancer Prevention

At the NCI-designated Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center, we’re focused on preventing cancer from ever starting by catching it as early as possible, when treatment is easiest and most effective. Colorectal cancer prevention is the goal of our world-renowned gastrointestinal oncology team.

There are many things you can do to lower your chances of getting colon cancer. Quitting smoking reduces your risk of developing colorectal cancer. You can also understand your family health history, choose healthy nutrition, limit alcohol use and add exercise to your daily routine. It’s also important to identify cancer in its earliest stage and getting colorectal cancer screening can help.

Call 718-920-7183 to schedule your colon cancer screening.

For more than 50 years, Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center has been a leader in the research, diagnosis and treatment of over 200 types of cancer. Turn to our dedicated colorectal cancer screening program for more information.
