There are many things you can do to lower your chances of getting cervical cancer. You can start by getting the HPV vaccine and regular Pap smears, which protect against infection that increases the risk of cancer. Additionally, quitting smoking lowers your risk of developing cervical cancer. You can also understand your family health history. It’s important to identify cancer in its earliest stage, getting a cancer screening can help.
